Check out this behind the scenes video which shows how we conduct our specialty, in home newborn photography, in our clients’ homes in and around Philadelphia.

As you can see, baby Lucia was such a dream baby to work with - she slept so soundly and peacefully throughout her session.

Mom and Dad followed my Session Prep Guide and raised their home temperature a few degrees to help their baby feel snug and cozy.

As always, I also brought a space heater which I use when necessary as it’s important to keep baby warm.

For most of the session we were in Lucia’s nursery on the third floor which had a large window that let in beautiful natural light.

We did the family images and bean bag posing on the main floor in front of another large window.

To help baby Lucia sleep, I swaddled her and played womb sounds via a small bluetooth speaker I bring to every session.

Truth be told the repetitive womb sounds and higher home temperature always make the adults a little sleepy too!

We did many different setups with Baby Lucia, including two small beds, a wire basket, a white crate and posing on the bean bag.

I always strive to provide my clients diversity in their images, especially when they are interested in albums since you want to see many different images throughout the pages.

During the session baby Lucia flashed me a couple of grins and smiles like this adorable one:

I have to thank grandma who was always asking me if I needed anything and who helped me hold a blanket on the bean bag a couple of times.

Grandma even bought me the most wonderful sandwich from a local shop which was of course totally unnecessary but very much appreciated!

For part of the session Mom and Dad went to go house hunting and grandma had the lovely idea of incorporating Mom and Dad’s baby’s toys into a portrait.

So Mom and Dad saw their daughter with their baby toys for the first time at their in-home Review & Ordering Appointment, and it definitely added a sentimental aspect to this lovely lady’s session.

This was a very well-rounded session between the diversity in props, posing, and parent images.

The album Mom and Dad ordered was STUNNING so of course I included that in the video too!
